I’m John, the artist behind Fern Drip Creative Studios in Mountain View, on Hawaiʻi Island.
Much of what I do today grew out of making things for myself. Through my music as It’s Just John, video projects, and independent creative ventures, I’ve followed ideas that mattered to me and learned how to bring them into the world. Along the way, that meant picking up a camera, shaping an edit, building a website, and exploring new tools when a project called for them.
I know how personal that process can be. You can see what you’re trying to make long before you know how to get there—or how to explain it to someone else. That’s the perspective I bring to working with other people: curiosity about your idea, respect for what makes it yours, and a willingness to work through the details together.
Fern Drip is where I put that experience to work for other artists, independent creatives, and businesses. That might mean a music video, a film about your work, a website that feels like you, or practical help with AI and automation that gives you more time to create.
